If I want to be knitting fabulous Amy Christoffers-designed cable-and-lace wizardry — and I do — all I need to do is pick up a certain neglected work-in-progress. And yet I just keep thinking about the low-investment, near-instant gratification that would come from knitting her beautiful new Mary Anne Hat pattern instead.
.
You really need to finish that sweater. It will be the sweater you will love the most. I am now knitting my second one. That’s how much I have enjoyed the first one. It flatters all. Promise.
It’s not that I don’t agree, and I LOVE working on it. I just don’t have the (mental/temporal) capacity for it right now, sadly. Too much going on, too little knitting time. But one of these days …
I am obsessed with Amy Christoffers patterns. I am knitting the Pomme de Pin cardigan right now but like you I am tempted to cast on for her new hat pattern (and every other pattern she’s written….)
Pomme de Pin is a beauty.
Landed here quite by a linking/google happy accident. I’m Mary Anne……you’ll love the hat!!! Honestly it’s such a great knit, and very, very quick. I’m on my third :) Cast on and enjoy it :)
Well, hello! So glad Google pointed the way.
And it’s green, I say helplessly.
If you’re inspired to do the hat, go for it. My guess is that the once the weather cools, you will have the impetus you need to finish that gorgeous sweater.
