New favorites: Texture-blocked pullovers

bedford pullover dragonflies jumper texture blocking

One thing I never tire of is contrasting sleeves on raglan garments, whether peppy, varsity-style color-blocking or more subtle texture-blocking. Two of my favorite examples of the latter are Michele Wang’s Bedford pullover (above right; pattern at Brooklyn Tweed or Ravelry) and Joji Locatelli’s new Dragonflies Jumper (above left; pattern at Ravelry). I particularly love this rendition of Dragonflies.

  1. I’m with you. I love both these new sweaters, too, and adore textured stiches especially in smokey gray tones!

  2. I love that woman’s interpretations/modifications of patterns! They are so often better than the originals.
