Worthwhile links from here and there in recent weeks:
– Jared Flood demonstrates the ins and outs of ease by showing the same garments on two girls with different body types.
– Quince & Co mourns the closing of their dye house. Fingers crossed for them.
– A jealousy-inducing gift exchange. (Ameliorated by the fact that Jo gave me a knitted version of Oomen’s crocheted rocks over the weekend. So pretty — thanks, Jo!)
– Design*Sponge’s Grace Bonney interviews Owyn Ruck of the Textile Arts Center in NY.
I haven’t had a chance to listen to that interview yet, but I’m eager to get a look at their book: “The Textile Artist’s Studio Handbook.”
.
OK, I just now listened to the interview and am dying to go to the Textile Arts Center. I’d give just about anything to do that residency program.
I’ve been coveting going there, too! Hmmm, maybe we should do it together! : )
Such interesting posts! I was just in Park Slope last month. I didn’t know about the Textile Arts Center!
